On 4th of July weekend we had a lot of fun! We spent the morning at Bull Creek swimming and exploring with the Macias and Nields before getting barbecue at County Line barbecue.

We loved Bull Creek because it wasn't super busy and was a natural haven inside the city. Nora loved exploring and it was such a perfect day!

We had some good barbecue and the kids loved seeing the turtles and exploring the grounds at County Line. It was so great to spend the first part of the holiday with our best friends!

Burgers in Austin

One night we were having an off day and just needed to get out of the house! It was hot and we didn't know what to do so we headed on a drive to just see Austin again since it's such a great city! Of course we drove around for 40 minutes and then realized that our antsy 2 year old couldn't handle another 40 minutes back in the car so we got out to walk around Downtown Austin. Of course we had to pay $10 for parking and then we figured we should stay awhile to get our money's worth! But then it was dinnertime so we caved with some burgers on the street! They were delicious and it was such a fun impromptu night. Plus how could you resist these adorable photos of Nora? She's got so much personality! We love her to pieces!

Sweet Berry Farm Visit

There's no way around that I'm a full 4 months behind on blogging... so I'm just starting from where I left off and diving in! So that's the first of May with a Saturday trip to Sweet Berry Farm for strawberry picking with friends to celebrate Rose's third birthday!

It was a beautiful day and we kept things simple by bringing a picnic lunch, picking strawberries and enjoying nice weather and friends. Most of the time Nora wandered around with a giant chip bag much to my dismay (insert laughing emoticon here). She also wanted to pick all the non-ripe strawberries but we had a lot of fun overall. And aren't those photos of her with Trey just the cutest? I'm planning an arranged marriage for them already :) Nora was 23 months old here-just before her birthday! I was 28 weeks pregnant also.

 When I was pregnant with Nora we went to Sweet Berry Farm and it was exactly 2 years before at this time! So I was 38 weeks pregnant with Nora on the left 

and 28 weeks pregnant with Venna on the right.

Camp Mabry Visit

It was a rainy weekend but we decided to be brave anyways and head out to Camp Mabry- the reserve base and Military Forces museum in Austin. Every year they have an open house where you can see all the military vehicles etc. as well as booths and food etc. We haven't ever been during our time in Austin so we are so glad we finally went!

She loved exploring all the helicopters- she just wanted to make Grandpa Wes proud!
