Austin Date Night-Pregnant Edition

Monday, October 10, 2016

I'm trying to hard to catch up and then I stumble on more photos that can't be missed! We squeezed in a final date night before both our babies came! We went to Austin to a pizza place called 100 Pizzitas and it was super cute. They literally have 100 pizzas to choose from but they are small and you choose a few to try and there are all kinds of crazy ones with foie gras or shrimp or other combinations. It was so nice just getting to chat and have an adult evening with friends. We love the Macias and they were by far one of the hardest things to leave in Austin!

27.5 weeks pregnant!

I was 27.5 weeks pregnant and she was 38.5 weeks pregnant here! So our babies are so close in age! She was my first friend when we moved to Round Rock and we have been through so much in 5 years. I've been so lucky to have you by my side!

BUMP picture

Juan refuses to take a normal photo but these guys are best buds too

Such a cute little Austin restaurant

We tried a bunch of fun ones!

Then we walked dirty 6th street down to Voodoo Doughnuts!
We found a couple famous murals along the way.

All the options!

It was our first time and I was definitely a fan!
Still love Gordough's but it's a different kind of donut for sure.

Thanks for a great date night Austin!

Group Date 2016

Tuesday, April 26, 2016

Last year Jen and I planned a big group date where we went to dinner and karaoke and it was a blast! When a year rolled around this February we figured we ought to do it again! We got the gang together and went golfing at Top Golf where we ate dinner too and then headed to this Asian ice cream place that was super cool (check out the photos!).

We are blessed with so many great friends here in Texas (even Juan, who is hiding on purpose in these photos.)

We had a lot of fun riding in minivans and switching up who we rode with at each stop, making fun of each other's golf swings and eating ice cream that looked like food!

And special bonus, Jason's parents were in town to babysit! Win win. :)

Girl's selfie with the selfie stick!
Jason "teaching" me how to golf!

Jen leaving me awesome selfies on my phone!
Cute girls!
I actually loved this golf place! You can play different versions of golf where you try to get further away or certain color markers etc. I wasn't all that good but I had fun!
The men, hanging around!
Jason's got some good form!
Dave-o and Juan-o
Lovebirds Tim and Jen!

That selfie stick is worth it's weight in gold I tell ya!
A little Just Dance before  heading to get ice cream!

They call this "shaved ice" but they have all kinds of flavors and toppings. This is from Snow Monster in Austin.

Thanks Jen for co-hosting with me and for my awesome friends always being willing to party!
What would I do without them? And thanks Karen and Jedd for babysitting!

Dancing with the Stars LIVE!

Tuesday, April 19, 2016

Literally the day we arrived in Europe- Jen texted and asked if we wanted to go to Dancing with the Stars LIVE! when they came to Austin the next week. Jen and Tim have a friend who is on the show so they got the hookup for tickets. Jason and I enthusiastically said YES! We have been watching for a few seasons and actually love all the dancing, music, and costumes and there are quite a few LDS dancers on there which is cool!

It was so fun to have a little date night with them and the show was AMAZING!  We had great seats right in front and I could see all the dancers faces whom we know so well from the show! I really really loved it!

Thanks for a great night Tim and Jen!

Jenna is one of the dancers on the show! She is amazing!

Summer Evenings at the Ballpark

Sunday, June 28, 2015

We went to two Round Rock Express games since the season started and they were such beautiful evenings outside with our baby!

The first night we got dinner and watched the game from the lawn on a blanket. The second time we had seats because it was "Dell Night" and we got free cotton candy and popcorn and the fun photos from the photo booth. Plus we got to hang with the Cavanaughs which is always great!

Both nights were so relaxing and I love the American pride I feel at baseball games with the National Anthem and kids and families having a good time. Take me out to the ball game!

This might be my favorite photo of us ever!!

Ryan and Kendra's Wedding

Wednesday, June 17, 2015

Some of our friends got married at the beginning of May and not only were we SO excited for them to get married (because they are awesome and we love them) but also because we got a babysitter for the whole night and knew we could party all night with friends!

The night started out great with getting all gussied up and making it to the wedding with plenty of time to spare! We took some group photos and got to enjoy the beautiful weather!

But then....

I get a text from our babysitter saying that she and Nora were locked out of our house! They had gone outside to the backyard and the door accidentally locked. The wedding was a whole 20 minutes away and Kendra was due to walk down the aisle anytime! I hopped in the car and started on my way home (obviously bummed to be missing the wedding) but then I remembered that our friends have a key to our house. Of course they were at the wedding with us. So I devised a plan! I contacted my good friend Amber to see if she could go to Cami's house and get the key to our house from the babysitter at that house. So she got the key and then rescued our babysitter and Nora! Such a good friend and I made it back to literally see Kendra walk down the aisle with seconds to spare!

We spent the rest of the night eating delicious Pappasito's fajitas, drinking Coke and literally dancing for hours! We had a great night out and it was so fun to have a little date night and be with friends.

Congrats Kendra and Ryan!

The whole gang after a night of partying!
