Nora in the Leaves- #2

Wednesday, January 20, 2016

I think it will have to be a tradition to take photos of the beautiful leaves that arrive here in December each year. She loves when I throw them up in the air and it's fun to take real photos whenever I can! I love the look of pure joy on her face in these where the leaves are raining down on her! These were taken in December at just over 18 months.

 Not quite sure at first!

This one. I love how candid it is!

I feel like this is the photo for JOY in the dictionary.
It definitely made me joyful to see her this happy!!

Elgin Pumpkin Patch

Wednesday, December 16, 2015

Last year we went to the Elgin Pumpkin Patch for the first time and loved it! We were excited to take Nora again this year when she could truly appreciate it! Not sure that these photos show that by any means but we did have a fun day and it was beautiful!

We had a fun day with our friend the Macias family and we rode the hayride, explored the corn maze, got our faces painted, saw the animals and of course took lots of pumpkin photos! Nora was 16 months when these were taken in October.

Nora in the Leaves

Fall colors come in December in Austin, and sparingly at that. When I saw these big beautiful piles of leaves on a walk with Nora-I knew we needed to go back for a photo shoot!

She was a perfect subject, appropriately inspecting the leaves and giving big beautiful smiles. These photos capture her little personality and just how much we truly love this girl.

Enjoy! These were taken just before she turned 6 months old!

Eating the leaves = end of photo shoot

We love you Nora!

Nora's First Halloween

Tuesday, November 18, 2014

Nora's first Halloween was a success I would say! She and I went to the city's Fall Festival with friends in the morning. There were little games for kids and she even walked along the balance beam! It was a fun thing to experience with her and made me happy that I get to have these days and these memories with my sweet girl.

That night we went to our church's "Trunk or Treat."

I'm not sure she had any idea what was going on but we loved having her in her cute costume and it was a lot of fun just getting to experience her first holiday with her. We can't wait for Christmas!!

I found this costume at Babies R Us and knew it was just perfect for her! We decided to dress in theme with her and so we were "bakers" and she was our "cupcake."

I will say...it's hard to photograph a cupcake that can't stand on her own but we did get a few cute shots.

We love our little cupcake!

Elgin Pumpkin Patch Visit

Tuesday, October 28, 2014

One of the things I remembered being excited about while I was pregnant last fall was that next fall I would have a 4 month old. And now that time has come and it is the best! My friends have always told me holidays are more fun with kids and it is totally true. I know Nora won't remember all this fun but it has brought Jason and I such joy. We love dressing her up and bringing her places with us, she's our little friend and we love her so much.

We got a big group of our friends to visit the Pumpkin Patch with us last Saturday and it was a blast! It was definitely warm but we had fun taking pictures, riding the hayrides, trains, playing tether ball and just hanging out. It made me grateful for sunny days, great friends and my sweet Nora.

She did not like the feel of the hay so she wouldn't set her feet down.

She can grasp things now and reach for things. She usually likes to stick them in her mouth too!

This is her finger sucking position of choice :) (We call it the Longhorn finger suck)
 Sweetest girl

This picture. Daddy and daughter- I love how she's grabbing his face!

Animals were definitely a bit overwhelming for her!
 Such a concerned face

We loved the hayride that took us all over the farm

The gang! We had such a fun time with all these cute kids!

Happy Fall!
