Camp Mabry Visit

Sunday, May 15, 2016

It was a rainy weekend but we decided to be brave anyways and head out to Camp Mabry- the reserve base and Military Forces museum in Austin. Every year they have an open house where you can see all the military vehicles etc. as well as booths and food etc. We haven't ever been during our time in Austin so we are so glad we finally went!

It was a long walk from the car so we took turns carrying curly haired Nora

Nora being so silly for our 1 family selfie!

Driving this huge truck!!

They did some demonstrations with K-9, terrorist attack simulations etc. that were interesting

She loved exploring all the helicopters- she just wanted to make Grandpa Wes proud!

We had a great time exploring and learning and
we are so grateful for all our servicemen and women!

Waco Zoo Day!

Friday, January 15, 2016

Over Christmas, Jason took a random weekday off work and we headed to Waco for soem family fun. We took Nora to the zoo and it was a blast! She loved all the animals and really experienced it. Such a fun thing for parents to watch! Lots of pointing and staring and it just makes you all warm and fuzzy inside. We got great burgers on the way down and of course, after the zoo we hit up Magnolia Market because we just had to. I love these family days and a weekday with Jason felt so indulgent. He's such a great husband and father and we love any extra time we get with him!

The giraffes were my favorite this time but that jaguar so close to Nora was pretty cool too!

My little adventurer

Maybe my favorite family selfie ever!
