A Night in Bethlehem

Monday, January 18, 2016

Another favorite Christmas tradition is to go to Burnet to see the town of Bethlehem! Local churches dress up and create a full town and it's amazing! They have a synagogue, bakery, jail, basket weavers, etc. It's about an hour away and we get there about 1.5 hours early but lots of our friends came and we stood in line eating snacks and hanging out waiting to get in. Nora had fun and we loved celebrating the birth of Christ. They have a full nativity with live animals and the whole town culminates in a quiet sacred scene of the baby Jesus with Mary and Joseph. It was a lovely reminder of the season.
