Joyeux Anniversaire

Yesterday was my handsome hubby's 26th birthday. I know, he doesn't look a day over 25 right?

We didn't do anything fancy but Jason said that was exactly what we wanted! So I bought us some donuts on Saturday night so Sunday morning I assembled Jason's presents and the "birthday clown" and then we had donuts while we watched General Conference.

Then we took a scooter ride to the temple and walked around and it was gorgeous. Sadly, I forgot my camera but the Provo Temple, the Wasatch Mountains, and flowers were breathtaking (not to mention all the missionaries staring at us on on our scooter).

Then we watched another session of General Conference before I prepared Jason's dinner of choice: meatloaf with baked potatoes and corn (He's a simple man, what can I say?).

Then, as per family Thomas family traditions, he was allowed to open his presents. These were his favorite:

You may not know this about Jason but if he weren't Mormon he would have tattoos all over his arms. Or tattoo "sleeves" as some would say. HA So, with a dollar store version, I tried to make his dream come true. You might see these again when Halloween rolls around. . .

 

 Although this looks like a fat person commercial, Jason is merely showing his new jeans.

It was my first 2 layer cake and I think it turned out pretty great!

Yeah we often try to match each other's clothes and then our couch.
