Trendy

Last fall when I found out that we were moving to California, I would say things to Jason like "we will be so trendy when we are there." I would find a new way to wear something in Provo and be like "this is so California" (whatever that means). ha.

Ironically, when we did arrive in California we actually did find people to be very trendy. We live right by the high school where the movie Orange County was filmed and  I drove by one day. Super Trendy high schoolers.

Although we have tried to be trendy with farmers' market visits, weekend trips and park outings we still fall short. Luckily, we don't take ourselves too seriously.

On our Santa Monica trip we fully embraced how ridiculous our hunt for being "trendy" was and laughed at people we saw and at ourselves. (There are definitely good and bad ways of being trendy and you see all of them in California).
